Polymerase inhibitors

The HCV NS5B polymerase is essential for viral replication.  Virobay is developing NS5B polymerase inhibitors as HCV therapeutics.  Virobay compounds are non-nucleoside inhibitors that bind at allosteric sites on the enzyme.  Lead compounds exhibit potent antiviral activity in cellular models.

Virobay’s polymerase program is in lead optimization.
