About Us

ViroBay is focused on creating the next generation of treatments for hepatitis C.

Launched in 2006, ViroBay is developing compounds using two new, promising approaches in the treatment of hepatitis C: protease and polymerase inhibitors.

Our management team, based in Menlo Park, California, has decades of experience in drug development, including leadership roles at Roche, Schering-Plough, Johnson & Johnson, Sugen, Celera, Gilead, Wellcome and Syntex.

We are using the virtual model of drug discovery and development.  Our experienced in-house management team utilizes the extensive expertise and resources available at contract research firms worldwide.

Our virtual model combines experience with operational flexibility for cost effective and efficient drug development.

In 2007, we expect to file an Investigational New Drug (IND) application for our lead protease inhibitor VBY-376, which shows potential as an oral, targeted therapy for the treatment of hepatitis C.
